Patent Attorney/

Mr. Holt is a registered patent attorney who has practiced patent law with Westman, Champlin and Kelly in Minneapolis since graduating from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2000. He has experience preparing and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patents in the electrical and mechanical fields, as well as for computer hardware and software inventions. Mr. Holt has extensive experience working with start-up firms as a patent attorney.

Mr. Holt joined Reed Technology (a LexisNexis company) as Vice President of Patent Analytics. Before joining Reed Technology, Mr. Holt was CEO of PatentCore, a successful big data business that provided customers opportunities to derive value from a detailed statistical understanding of the inner working of the United States Patent Office. His transition to the patent analytics business occurred after a fourteen year career as a patent attorney during which he prepared and prosecuted many hundreds of U.S. and foreign patent applications primarily in the software, electrical and mechanical fields.
